"Accepting" Evaluator's Review

Once you have submitted your SLO, there is a section in TeachScape that you'll have to go to to accept your evaluator's review of your SLO.

To do this, you'll:
  • Go to TeachScape
  • Select  "Reflect"
  • Select Educator Effectiveness Plan (SLO) View
  • Go to the 4th one: "SLO #1 Goal and Progress"
  • There is a button there that you need to click.

Content Standards & PPG

If you are using one of the SLO templates that we provided, for some reason the section to identify your content standard does not show up on one of them.  Please double-check your form to make sure you have your content standard listed.  The first question we will ask you during our meeting is, "What is the content standard you are going to focus on?"

Also, PPGs are due to be submitted on October 31 along with your SLO.

Teachscape Directions Check-Off

Just a helpful reminder that in each section of Teachscape, you will have to verify that you have read the directions. In the Self-Reflection, PPG, SLO, and Teacher Practices sections, the first item on your task list is a set of instructions.  Be sure you click "start", scroll down to the bottom, and be sure to check off that you have read and understand the directions. These directions can be printed and/or accessed at later times as well.

1st Open Lab

As we are now in the month where our SLO and PPG are to be submitted, what we need most is time. So, Sheila and Angie will be holding open labs for MS teachers; you are welcome to come and work on your EEP, meet with us, or ask questions.

The first open lab will be Thursday, October 9 from 2:45-3:30 in Lab 417.

You do not have to sign up, but bring whatever materials you feel you need to make progress on your SLO and PPG.

As always, if you have any questions, please let us know!

SMART SLO

As you begin to design your SLO keep in mind that you want it to be a SMART goal:

Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Results-based
Time-bound

As we coach you through this first SLO meeting a resource we'll be using is "How SMART is Your SLO?"  Our goals are probably pretty smart, but having the rubric might help us hone in on what we really want our students to accomplish.

When you are ready for the "official" first meeting our calendars are on the ride sidebar. Just select the appointment time that works for you and we'll get a notification of the meeting.

As always, if you have any questions, let us know!
