Hello!
There have been many questions about the PPG, and while we are trying to find some samples to share, this is what the DPI EE Teacher Evaluation Process Manual says about PPGs (DPI, 2014, p. 77):
PPG Goal Setting
After developing SLOs and reviewing his or her Self-Rating, the teacher will
develop one PPG that, when aligned to the SLO(s), will increase the likelihood of
success on one or both of their SLOs. Teachers will document the PPG in the
EEP and reference the relevant SLO, if applicable, and the related Framework for
Teaching components. However, teachers may write a PPG that involves
practices they want to improve that are not necessarily related to the SLO. For
this reason, DPI recommends but does not require that the PPG support the
SLOs.
SMART goals should guide the development of the professional practice goal.
See Appendix G for guidance on setting SMART goals.
Developing a PPG will help teachers focus their professional growth and
evaluators focus activities for the year. However, evaluators will still assess all of
the components from the Framework for Teaching rubric to provide the teacher a
comprehensive picture of teacher practice.
Not sure if that clears things up or not, but at least it is a place to start.
